The BTC 1638 VGA card used the later ARK2000MT (over the 2000PV used in the BTC-1628) chipset, which got an integrated RAMDAC. It had a 32-bit PCI interface, 64-bit wide path to memory, and graphics coprocessor that took the strain off the main CPU in Windows.
The supported display resolutions for the BTC 1638 range from 1600x1200 in 256 colors (at an 86 Hz refresh rate) to 800x600 in 16.7 million colors (at a 75 Hz refresh rate) using 2 MB DRAM.
