Paradise PVGA / FastVGA

If you are looking for Windows 3.1 drivers for PVGA, these came as standard in Windows 3.1.

Windows 3.0 Drivers
Dec 1990

In Windows 3.0, supports 1,024 x 768 (16 colours and 2 colours), 800 x 600 (256 colours and 16 colours), 640 x 480 (256 colours), and 640 x 400 (256 colours). For FastVGA, supports 1,024 x 768 (16 colours) and 800 x 600 (16 colours)

Video BIOS

Two 16 KB BIOS ROM files, one for 'high' and a second for 'low'. These come from a 256 KB Philips SVGA card (FCC ID DBM5UEVGAPROF) that uses the PVGA1A-JK chip.

VESA 1.0 Driver

VESA 1.0 Driver
1990 / 1991

Supports VGA Plus, VGA Plus 16, VGA Professional and VGA 1024 cards. All require 512 KB of video RAM.

The actual mode files appear to be v1.2, but I'm not sure if this denotes VESA 1.2 compliance or if these are all still VESA 1.0

Run VESA.EXE.
