The Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT used a chipset from ST Microelectronics, the STG4000, and came with a 32-bit integrated RAMDAC which ran at 270 MHz.
Five distinct variants of the 3D Prophet 4000 XT were released:
- 3D Prophet 4000 XT 32 MB
- 3D Prophet 4000 XT 32 MB PCI
- 3D Prophet 4000 XT 32 MB TV-Out
- 3D Prophet 4000 XT 64 MB PCI
- 3D Prophet 4000 XT 64 MB TV-Out
The original Kyro graphics chipset was succeeded by the Kyro II, and was used on the Hercules 3D Prophet 4500XT (2001).
