Introduction

Following their success with Red Baron in late 1990, Dynamix used the same team to develop Aces of the Pacific, released a year and a half later. The game had steeper system requirements but now supported the Gravis Gamepad and Thrustmaster Flight Control Stick (FCS) and Weapons Control System (WCS).

Fight for the US Navy, Army Air Force, Marines or Japanese Navy and Air Force in a variety of missions including ground attack, reconnaissance, bomber escort, dogfighting, or against famous aces. Just like in Red Baron, you have the option of single mission or campaign mode.

Aces of the Pacific features 34 detailed aircraft you can fly over land and sea, including torpedo and dive bombers, and the ability to land on carriers.

An expansion arrived soon after, entitled "WWII: 1946" that added jet aircraft, prototype aircraft and a hypothetical invasion of Japan. The game was succeeded by the third and final WW1 title in the series, Aces Over Europe.
