Introduction
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers was the first in the epic horror adventure trilogy by Jane Jenson and Sierra Online. With gorgeous backgrounds and deep musical score, the game infused a dark atmosphere with some comical elements.
From where can it be run?
The game must be installed to your hard disk. While the game can be played from Windows (95 or 98), it is still fundamentally a DOS game.

Additional Files, Drivers and Utilities
- Official Sierra v1.0B update - Updates the floppy version of the game from 1.0A to 1.0B. Fixes a number of problems and lockups.
- Official Sierra CD-ROM version update - fixes Lockups and save/restore game problems. Note that previously saved games will no longer be restorable after installing the patch.
- Gravis UltraSound drivers - Works on both floppy and CD versions of Gabriel Knight 1. These drivers will work with some Sierra 32 bit games. These drivers will not work on earlier Sierra games. Note: Before installing this patch, make sure you update to the latest version of the game, first, by installing the Sierra patch
- New Rising Sun Patch (floppy release) - Fixes some timer bugs, including Day 5: Lockup, Day 6: Sergeant returning too early. You now have 30 seconds., African Snake Mound: Mummies "float" instead of walk if you leave the room too quickly. Install the Sierra v1.0B update first.
